GVSU men's golf team finishes fourth at Tennessee River Rumble

The GVSU men's golf team concluded their participation in the Tennessee River Rumble by securing a fourth-place finish. The event took place in Lenoir City, Tennessee, where the team improved its standing on the final day of competition.

Lincoln Memorial emerged victorious at the tournament, narrowly defeating North Georgia with a final score of +6. North Georgia finished just one stroke behind at +7. Lenoir-Rhyne claimed third place with a score of +14, while GVSU trailed closely in fourth at +15. Wingate completed the top five with a score of +16.

Among the Lakers, Drew Coble led the team by tying for seventh place with a final round score of 73 (+1), making two birdies. Bryce Wheeler also performed well, finishing tied for 11th after carding three birdies and an eagle for a round of 74 (+2). Ryan Gallagher ended his tournament tied for 30th, achieving three birdies in his last round to conclude six over par. Manuel Cue Vargas recorded a similar final round of 74 with three birdies, placing him in a tie for 41st at +8. Charlie Cooley finished tied for 61st after shooting a 75 (+3) and making two birdies.

Looking ahead, the Lakers will take a break until April 6th when they head to Indianapolis to compete in the Ken Partridge Invitational, marking their last event before concluding the regular season.
