In the first game of the doubleheader, the Lakers clinched a narrow 5-4 win. Allyson Theunick opened the scoring in the third inning with her first collegiate home run. Eliana Eiland followed with her first home run of the season, bringing the score to 3-0. Further contributions from Morgan Spicer and Madelynn Pope increased GVSU's lead. Eiland finished with a home run, two RBIs, and scored once, while Dorr secured the win with nine strikeouts in seven innings.

In the second matchup, GVSU was quick off the mark, taking an early 3-0 lead. The score was initiated by a single from Karli Dorr, who contributed significantly throughout the game. Davenport fought back to level the score at 3-3, but the Lakers soon regained their advantage in the sixth inning with key plays from Theunick and Faith Edwards, securing a 5-3 victory. Edwards and Pope each recorded multiple hits, while Ingram earned the win and Swierkos achieved her first career save.
