The Grand Valley State University women's golf team is participating in the Lynn Invitational, hosted in Boca Raton, Florida. Out of a competitive field that includes 15 nationally ranked teams, the Lakers concluded the first day of the tournament in second place. Olivia Stoll, representing the Lakers, is tied for the lead.
As host, Lynn University currently leads the tournament after recording rounds of 293 and 281, sitting at two under par. The Lakers follow eight strokes behind with two rounds of 291, culminating in a six over par finish for the day. Dallas Baptist stands in third place at 13 over par, followed closely by Flagler in fourth at 14 over par. Lee University completes the top five with a standing of 16 over par.
Olivia Stoll is tied for first place individually, with impressive rounds of 68 and 71, finishing the day at five under par and achieving nine birdies. Rachael Krieger is tied for 10th at one over par, achieving rounds of 74 and 71, with five birdies along the way. Lea Stotz sits in a tie for 19th at five over par, with rounds of 76 and 73 and three birdies.
Additionally, Paula Badino ended the day tied for 41st, with rounds of 77 and 76 and two birdies, concluding at nine over par. Megan Miron is tied for 56th at 13 over par, after rounds of 73 and 84 and four birdies. Charlotte Goersch finished in a tie for 62nd at 14 over par, with rounds of 74 and 84, managing three birdies during her gameplay.
