Grand Valley State University freshman center fielder Caden Thelen has been recognized by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) as the Player of the Week. During the week, Thelen achieved a batting average of .526, hitting 10 for 19. His performance included seven runs batted in, 18 total bases, and five times crossing home plate. Thelen also demonstrated strong base-running skills with three successful steals and managed to record five extra base hits.
Thelen's consistent contributions were pivotal, as the Lakers emerged victorious in all five games they played within the week. Notably, in game three against Roosevelt, he went 3-for-4, hitting a double, a triple, and driving in four runs.
