A day following her selection for the GLIAC Commissioner's Award, Rylie Bisballe has been honored as a College Sports Communicators First-Team Academic All-American—a first in her career.
Bisballe, a fifth-year player, has significantly contributed to GVSU's success, leading them to a National Championship and an impressive 38-2 record. This season, she posted averages of 13.8 points and 5.8 rebounds, achieving five double-doubles. Her shooting statistics stand at 51.8% from the field and 72.1% from the free throw line. In defensive contributions, the Lake City, Michigan, native was second in her team for steals, with 67, and in blocks, with 31. She ascended into the top-five in the program's history for points, made field goals, and rebounds.
Bisballe's accomplishments in Allendale include being a two-time WBCA All-American and a two-time D2CCA All-American. She was also recognized as the 2025 D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year and has twice been named GLIAC Player and Defensive Player of the Year. Her accolades include four All-GLIAC honors, four inclusions in GLIAC All-Defensive teams, and consecutive selections to the D2CCA Midwest All-Region first team. Academically, she has achieved a 3.71 GPA while earning a degree in accounting, besides being a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree.
