The GVSU women's golf team is set to begin their postseason play at the GLIAC Championships this weekend. The event will take place at the Stonehedge Golf Club in Augusta, Michigan, starting on Friday.

The tournament format involves an 18-hole game on both Friday and Saturday morning. After these initial rounds, the top four teams will proceed to the match play semifinals slated for Saturday afternoon. The victors from these matches will face each other in a final 18-hole match play tournament on Sunday to determine the GLIAC Champion.

Representing the Lakers are Olivia Stoll, Rachael Krieger, Paula Badino, Charlotte Goersch, and Megan Miron. Julia Sanchez will serve as a substitute, able to join the lineup at the start of any round. Grand Valley State's team will be paired with Wayne State and Ferris State, with tee-off scheduled for Friday morning at 10:50.

The Lakers enter the tournament as the reigning GLIAC Champions. They clinched their title by defeating Ferris State 4-1 in the semifinals and subsequently overcoming SVSU 5-0 in the championship match. This victory marked the 17th conference championship win in the history of their program.
