Grand Valley State University (GVSU) will be the venue for the 2025 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The event is scheduled to begin on April 30 at the GVSU Lacrosse/Track and Field Complex in Allendale, Michigan, and will continue until May 2, concluding with an awards ceremony.

The GVSU women's track and field team is aiming for their 25th consecutive GLIAC outdoor title, while the men's team will vie for their seventh consecutive and 18th overall title in the program's history. Currently, both teams hold the top spots in the conference and the Midwest Region as they enter post-season competition. Nationally, the women's team is ranked second in Division II, with the men's team ranked fourth.

The championships will kick off with Laker athlete Mason Floria, who is competing in the men's decathlon. The events on the first day will start with the 100 meters at 1:30 p.m., followed by the long jump, shot put, high jump, and 400 meters. On the second day, the remaining five events for the decathlon will commence at 9 a.m. They will include the 110 meters hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin, and 1500 meters.

Day two will see the continuation of multi-events, along with four field events per gender and nine running events. Field events like the hammer, long jump, pole vault, and javelin will start at 2:30 p.m. Running events beginning at the same time will include the preliminary 1500 meters, 100m/110m hurdles, 400 meters, 100 meters, 800 meters, 400 meters hurdles, and 200 meters, as well as the 3000 meters steeplechase and 10000 meters events.

On the final day, competition will begin with field events, including men's shot put and triple jump, and women's discus and high jump, starting at 10 a.m. Running events will follow at 11:10 a.m., featuring finals for those who advance from Thursday's preliminaries. The men's and women's 5000 meters and the 4x400 relay events are scheduled after the finals.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online at GVSUTickets.com or in person on Thursday and Friday. There will be no tickets required for Wednesday's events. Updates, including daily recaps and photos, will be available on GVSU's Instagram and X accounts, @GVSUXCTF.
