Speaker Matt Hall has been actively sharing his legislative actions and engagements on social media. Through a series of tweets, he addresses key issues affecting Michigan, from immigration enforcement to environmental protection and community recognition.

On May 2, 2025, Speaker Matt Hall announced via Twitter that he led the House in voting to ban sanctuary cities in Michigan. He stated, "I led the House in voting to ban sanctuary cities in Michigan. If you break the law, you shouldn’t get special favors. This vote ensures our cities work with, not against, federal immigration enforcement. Michigan stands for law and order. Period."

In another tweet dated May 5, 2025, Hall highlighted concerns about invasive species threatening local ecosystems. He emphasized the need to complete the Brandon Road project to prevent Asian carp from entering the Great Lakes. Hall expressed his commitment by mentioning a discussion with former President Donald Trump: "Asian carp will devastate our Great Lakes and our local economy. We need to finish the Brandon Road project to stop them and protect Michigan's waters! @realDonaldTrump understands this, and he cares about our lakes."

Further showcasing his involvement in community affairs, on May 6, 2025, Hall shared his experience of welcoming student-athletes to Lansing's Capitol as part of their recognition on the House floor for their achievements in sports: "Last week, I had the privilege of welcoming four exceptional student-athletes to the Capitol in Lansing. Their accomplishments in swimming, running, and bowling exemplify the talent and determination found in communities across Michigan."

The Brandon Road project is an initiative aimed at preventing invasive aquatic species from entering vital water bodies like the Great Lakes.
