GVSU women’s golf team leads NCAA East Regional heading into final round

The GVSU women's golf team maintains its lead in the NCAA East Regional after completing the second round. The Lakers, with four players ranking in the top 10, hold a four-stroke advantage.

As of day two, the Lakers are at +12. Findlay follows closely in second place, ending at +16 after another round of eight over par. Tiffin is third with +41, while UMSL and UIndy are tied for fourth at +46.

Charlotte Goersch and Paula Badino share second place after 36 holes, each finishing one over par. Goersch achieved an even-par 72 with two birdies, while Badino completed her round with a score of 74 (+2). Olivia Stoll stands tied for sixth following her round of 78 (+6), making three birdies to conclude day two at five over par. Megan Miron is one stroke behind Stoll, tied for eighth after shooting a 75 (+3) with two birdies. Julia Sanchez also recorded two birdies during her round of 77 (+5), tying for 14th place at eight over par.

The final round will see GVSU teeing off tomorrow afternoon at 12:30 alongside Findlay and Tiffin.
