Rep. Bill Huizenga, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman for Michigan’s 4th district since 2011, has shared several updates via social media on May 7 and May 8, 2025. His communications include the promotion of legislation and a congratulatory message to the newly elected Pope.

On May 7, Huizenga directed his audience to review new legislation by sharing a link to its full text. He encouraged readers to "Read all four pages of this commonsense legislation here: https://t.co/Qn7NSDS4Zy".

The following day, May 8, he extended congratulations to the newly elected Pope Leo XIV. Huizenga noted the Pope's connection to West Michigan by stating "Congratulations to Pope Leo XIV! Born and raised in Chicago, Robert Francis Prevost later attended Saint Augustine Seminary High School at the Felt Mansion in Allegan County. It is great to see Pope Leo XIV and the first American papacy have a connection to West Michigan!".
