Speaker Matt Hall, a prominent figure in Michigan politics, recently took to social media to express his concerns over issues related to state governance and leadership. His posts highlight his criticism of decisions made by state officials and underscore the importance of transparency and accountability in government operations.
On May 14, Hall criticized Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson for selecting Tyler Technologies to develop the Michigan Transparency Network. He pointed out that "Jocelyn Benson chose Tyler Technologies—a company tangled in 18 federal lawsuits—to build the Michigan Transparency Network." He described the result as "a dysfunctional mess that hides critical campaign finance data," asserting that "Michiganders deserve competence, not chaos."
Later on May 14, Hall appeared on a radio program to discuss national leadership impacts on local military installations. He stated, "Yesterday, I joined guest host @rockyraczkowski on @wjrradio Radio’s #JRAfternoon to spotlight how President Trump’s decisive leadership saved and strengthened Selfridge Air Base —protecting thousands of Michigan jobs and expanding its mission." Hall emphasized the significance of former President Trump's actions in securing jobs within Michigan.
In another post dated May 15, Hall returned to criticize Tyler Technologies regarding financial matters following a data breach incident. He highlighted that "#TylerTech is cutting checks over its data breach—the same vendor @JocelynBenson picked for her busted 'Transparency' site." Hall questioned why taxpayers have not received refunds after previously funding fixes for these issues.
