Four members of the Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's lacrosse team have been recognized with IWLCA Midwest All-Region honors. The announcement was made by the organization earlier today. Kylie Waeghe, Ashleigh Rothe, and Zoe Ziegler were named to the first team, while Elora Ferrie earned a spot on the second team.

Kylie Waeghe played a significant role in one of the top defenses nationally, starting all 20 games on defense. She ranked second on her team with 38 groundballs and fourth in caused turnovers with 19. Waeghe also contributed 32 draw controls. This marks her second All-Region honor after earning second-team recognition in 2023.

Ashleigh Rothe concluded her time at GVSU with her best season yet, leading the Lakers in goals (54), assists (32), points (86), and groundballs (39). These achievements were all career-highs for Rothe, who was selected as an All-Region performer for the third consecutive season. She recorded ten hat tricks this season and had eight games with five or more points.

Zoe Ziegler received IWLCA All-Region honors for the first time, securing a place on the first team. She achieved career-highs in goals (42), assists (22), points (64), and groundballs (17). Ziegler was also named to the GLIAC First-Team, recording nine hat tricks and five games with five or more points.

Elora Ferrie earned her first-ever All-Region selection as a member of the second team. A key player on defense, Ferrie was twice named GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week. In her 17 games played, she accumulated 21 groundballs and caused 20 turnovers.
