The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) has announced its 2025 All-Midwest Region team, with five players from the Lakers earning selections. Among them, senior pitcher Jayden Dentler and junior shortstop Evan Morrison received First-Team honors. Seniors Ryan Dykstra (outfield) and Jonas Gulbrandsen (utility), along with junior Collin Bradley (starting pitcher), were named to the Second-Team.
Jayden Dentler completed the 2025 season with a 12-0 record and a 2.73 earned run average over 14 starts. His 12 victories ranked second nationally and matched the Grand Valley State University (GVSU) program's single-season win record. Dentler pitched 89 innings, achieving three complete games and striking out 69 batters. He ended his collegiate career with a record of 36-9.
Evan Morrison played all 57 games at shortstop, maintaining a batting average of .341 with 76 hits, including 17 doubles, three home runs, three triples, and driving in 43 runs. He led the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) in runs scored and set a new GVSU single-season record with 73 runs. Morrison recorded multi-hit performances in 22 games and reached base in all but one game this season.
Jonas Gulbrandsen batted .342 while leading the GLIAC in home runs (15) and RBIs (62). He was second in hits with 78, contributing to his team's offensive strength. Over his career, he ranked third for GVSU in home runs with a total of 28.
Ryan Dykstra posted a batting average of .330 with nine home runs and was the GLIAC leader in doubles. He had multiple hits in several games throughout the season.
Collin Bradley finished his pitching campaign with a record of seven wins against two losses, holding an earned run average of 3.08 over his appearances on the mound.
Grand Valley State concluded their season under second-year head coach Jordan Keur with an overall record of 43-14, advancing to the third round of the NCAA Division II tournament.
