To help facilitate student move-in at Hope College for the 2025-26 academic year, the City of Holland has announced several temporary changes to traffic patterns and parking restrictions. These measures will be in effect on Thursday, August 21, and Saturday, August 23.

From 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both days, East 10th Street between College Avenue and Columbia Avenue will allow only westbound traffic. Meanwhile, East 13th Street between College Avenue and Columbia Avenue will permit only eastbound traffic during the same hours.

Columbia Avenue between East 9th Street and 10th Street will be closed to regular through traffic to provide space for unloading vehicles as students arrive. Access to this area should be made from 10th Street with exit via 9th Street only. All intersections within these zones are required to remain open throughout the move-in period.

Temporary no-parking orders will also be enforced on both sides of East 10th Street (between College and Columbia Avenues), East 13th Street (between College and Columbia Avenues), and Columbia Avenue (between East 9th and 10th Streets) from Thursday through Saturday during move-in hours.

These adjustments are intended to ease congestion around campus while ensuring safety for students, families, and staff involved in the move-in process.
