The City of Holland will host the Home Energy Expo on Wednesday, November 12, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Holland Civic Center. The event is designed to help residents learn about reducing their carbon footprint and improving energy efficiency in their homes.
Attendees can exchange incandescent holiday lights for LED strands, which use less energy and last longer than traditional bulbs. There will also be opportunities to recycle household electronics and gas-powered tools at the expo.
Visitors can try out electronic lawn tools and attend a session called "Home Energy 101" to gain more information about saving energy at home. A drawing for an EGO Snowblower will also take place during the event.
The Home Energy Expo aims to provide practical resources for community members interested in sustainability and efficient home practices.
