In late April, Sen. Aric Nesbitt, (R-Lawton) put out an informational post for his Facebook followers, announcing that personal protective equipment (PPE) could be donated to hospitals in the state of Michigan.

“If you’d like to donate personal protective equipment to Michigan hospitals, please visit Michigan Health & Hospital Association for more information,” wrote Nesbitt.  “Together, we will get through these difficult times.”

The website offers updated lists of items that hospitals are looking for, as well as lists of donation sites at hospitals in the state. It also encourages constituents to reach out to the Michigan Community Service Commission by email at COVID19donations@michigan.gov or by calling 517-335-4295.

Nesbitt was elected to the Michigan Senate in 2018. He represents the 26th District, which includes Allegan and Van Buren Counties, along with Gaines Township and the city of Kentwood in Kent County. He has been serving the people of Michigan since 2010, when he was elected to the House of Representatives, representing Van Buren County and part of Allegan County.
