Allegan Area Educational Service Agency issued the following announcement on July 30
Headlee Restoration Proposal II: Special Education-This proposal requests additional millage to permit the continued levy by the intermediate school district of the maximum mills for special education previously approved by the electors. This will be an adjustment of0.0448millsto return to the voter approved amount of 3.05 mills.The period covered is 2020 to 2034. These funds flow to local school districts to assist in offsetting the districts state mandated, unreimbursed special education costs.
