City of Douglas issued the following announcement on July 28.
On Wednesday July 28, 2021, a contractor working with the City of Douglas will have crews and equipment at Douglas Beach to add additional sandbags and backfilling areas to more permanently secure the bluff at Douglas Beach.
Parking will be restricted and access to the beach will be limited throughout most of the day while the contractor completes this scope of work.
We anticipate work will last one day if weather permits.
