City of Owosso issued the following announcement on Aug 26.
The city-wide street resurfacing began the week of August 23, 2021. Project sites include portions of Lincoln Avenue, Glenwood Avenue, McMillan Avenue, Garfield Avenue, Park Street, and Pearce Street. An informational letter was sent out to residents along these streets.
The contractor is currently preparing these streets in advance of the pavement work. The pavement crushing and stabilization process is scheduled for early September. Asphalt resurfacing will follow soon after the road base has cured from the stabilization process.
Road sides will be dressed up in a timely manner after resurfacing is completed. Altogether, the project will continue through its completion. The expected completion date is late October, 2021.
