Allegan Public Schools issued the following announcement on Jan 3.
It is with a heavy heart that Allegan Athletics is announcing the passing of Mr. John Jones. Mr. Jones has been a fixture at Allegan Athletics for over 30 years. Along with his wife Deb, Mr. Jones has been the ticket taker at all home contests for Allegan High School and has volunteered thousands of hours of his time for our school and community. Mr. Jones was known around the league for his dedication and commitment to Allegan High School students and athletes. Mr. Jones was recognized this fall for his service to our community at the Salute to Service football game. Mr. Jones also served his country serving the U.S. Army. We know Mr. Jones will still be watching all of our contests and supporting our student athletes.
You will be missed. Thank you Mr. Jones for all you have done. Go Tigers!
