RESTORATIVE PRACTICE AT ITS BEST
Sometimes issues arise in classrooms, and a solution is necessary to correct the issue. That’s where our Restorative Practice Facilitator, Mrs. Hamman, comes in to assist. She held a Circle with the class below, at the request of their teacher, Mrs. Swank, to discuss the issue and collaboratively come up with a solution amongst the students and teacher. The class was rewarded with a pizza party thanks to their efforts to participate and honor the resolution. Way to go, Tigers!
For all students who participate with Circles and put into practice ways to show kindness and respect to others, thank you for showing you KAIR! Sometimes gaining a new perspective is the start of a positive change!
