Grand Valley State University's baseball team faced a setback on Wednesday night, losing 13-6 in a GLIAC road game against Davenport. The two teams are set to meet again on Thursday at the GVSU Baseball Field. Originally scheduled for Friday, the game was moved up due to anticipated rain, with the first pitch planned for 2 p.m.

In Wednesday's match, junior left fielder Ryan Dykstra contributed significantly by going 3-for-4 with a triple, an RBI, and a run scored. Senior center fielder Kyle Nott also made an impact by going 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Notably, Nott achieved his 200th career hit during the game, placing him 11th in GVSU's all-time history. Third baseman Jonas Gulbrandsen added to the team's efforts by going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
