The Grand Valley State women's tennis team was defeated by Wayne State with a score of 4-0 in the GLIAC Championship held on Sunday morning. This loss brings the Lakers' season record to 13 wins and 9 losses. The team will now await their seeding for the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

Wayne State secured the doubles point by winning matches at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions. Taylor Barrett and Neus Ramos achieved a victory with a 6-1 score at the top doubles spot, while Estefania Hernandez and Vale Mozas experienced a narrow defeat, losing 6-7 at No. 3 doubles. Vasileia Griva and Rachel Sam were defeated with a score of 1-6 at No. 2 doubles.

In singles matches, Vasileia Griva faced a challenging match at the top singles position, ultimately losing with scores of 2-6, 3-6. Taylor Barrett also lost her match at No. 2 singles with scores of 3-6, 4-6, while Neus Ramos fell to her opponent at No. 4 singles with scores of 2-6, 3-6.
