Grand Valley State faces Ashland for Midwest Region championship

The Grand Valley State Lakers are set to face off against the Ashland Eagles in the Midwest Region championship game on Monday night. The game will take place at 7:00 PM at the Fieldhouse, with a spot in the Elite Eight at stake.

Grand Valley State secured their place in the regional final with decisive victories over Quincy and Wayne State. In these games, Rylie Bisballe has been instrumental for the Lakers, averaging 18 points and 5.5 rebounds per game during the tournament. MacKenzie Bisballe and Paige Vanstee have also contributed significantly to GVSU's offensive efforts.

The two teams previously met earlier this season, with GVSU emerging victorious with a score of 67-42. In that matchup, Rylie Bisballe and Nicole Kamin led all scorers with 14 points each.

Ashland advanced to the regional final by defeating Ferris State and Northern Michigan in their opening rounds. The Eagles boast an impressive record of 32-3 and have won their last 26 games consecutively. Zoe Miller has been a standout player for Ashland, averaging 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in their NCAA Tournament games so far.

Monday's game will be broadcasted on FloSports, with live stats available online.
