Graduate student Eli Kosiba and Men's Assistant Coach Steve Jones have been recognized with the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Awards. The announcement was made by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Kosiba has been named the National Men's Field Athlete of the Year, while Jones received the accolade of National Men's Assistant Coach of the Year.

Both Kosiba and Jones have previously received conference and regional awards, with decisions made unanimously.

Kosiba's accolade as the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Indoor Track & Field National Field Athlete of the Year comes after a stellar finale to his collegiate career. Hailing from Rensselaer, Indiana, he matched the NCAA Division II high jump record of 2.30 meters at the Grand Valley State Holiday Open in December. In March, he claimed the event title at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, having earlier finished second at the USATF Indoor Championships. Kosiba went on to compete at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China, finishing fourth with a jump of 2.28 meters.

Jones, in his 17th year as an assistant coach at Grand Valley State, received the National Men's Assistant Coach of the Year award following the strong performances of his team. Under his coaching, the Lakers' high jumpers delivered top finishes at the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, including a 1-2-3-6 finish. His athletes were led by Kosiba and Jaivon Harrison, who both achieved a mark of 2.23 meters, tying for the ninth-best all-time in NCAA Division II.
