The Grand Valley State (GVSU) men's tennis team secured their first GLIAC Tournament Championship by winning against Wayne State with a decisive 4-0 sweep. The victory on Sunday morning in Midland, Michigan, boosts GVSU's record to 15-2 for the season.

The Lakers attained the doubles point through victories in the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches. Lucas Gonzalez and Victor Lopes secured a 6-4 win in the top doubles position, while Denys Zamaraiev and Chimo Minguez achieved a 6-1 triumph at No. 3 doubles.

In the singles matches, Denys Zamaraiev achieved a consistent 7-5, 6-0 win in straight sets at the number one singles spot. Victor Lopes then ensured the team's success with a straight-set win of 7-6, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. Additionally, Jorge Ruiz recorded a solid 6-2, 7-6 victory at No. 4 singles.
