The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its postseason awards last Friday, recognizing ten members of the Lakers team, the highest number across the league. Sarah Krause of Grand Valley State University (GVSU) was honored with the Goalkeeper of the Year award.

Sarah Krause, a junior from Severna Park, Maryland, led the league with a .548 save percentage and maintained a 7.26 goals against average. Krause recorded 69 saves, managed 30 groundballs, and faced 235 shots throughout the season. She allowed three or fewer goals in seven games, including five matches where she conceded a single goal. Krause had seven games with at least five saves and achieved a season-high of nine saves against Northern Michigan. Celebrating her 100th career save earlier in the season, she became the fourth goalkeeper in the program’s history to receive this accolade.

Alongside Krause, Zoe Ziegler, Ashleigh Rothe, Elora Ferrie, and Kylie Waeghe secured first-team selections. Ziegler achieved career-highs in points (51), goals (36), and assists (15). She led the team with 13 goals from free position attempts and notched three game-winning goals, nine hat tricks, and reached 100 career points. Ashleigh Rothe led the team with 73 points, including 45 goals and 28 assists, and reached significant milestones, such as 100 career goals and 200 career draw controls. Kylie Waeghe, earning her third All-GLIAC recognition, played a pivotal role in the league-best defense, matching career-highs with 31 groundballs and 16 caused turnovers. Elora Ferrie received her first All-GLIAC First-Team selection, causing 12 turnovers and picking up 14 groundballs.

Gracie Bancroft, Jillian Bingman, and Ella Boose were named to the GLIAC Second-Team. Bancroft and Bingman ranked third and fourth in team points, achieving new personal bests. Bancroft scored 28 goals and added eight assists, while Bingman contributed 19 goals and 16 assists. Ella Boose led the team with 53 draw controls, scored 19 goals, and notched a career-high 26 points.

Quinn McElroy and Karleigh Rothe received honorable mentions for their roles in a defense that restricted opponents to 7.38 goals per game and a .341 shooting percentage. McElroy participated in all matches, causing 14 turnovers and collecting 22 groundballs. Karleigh Rothe, in her senior year, led the team with 18 caused turnovers and collected 17 groundballs.
