Grand Valley State women's golf wins East Regional Tournament

The Grand Valley State women's golf team has secured their eighth NCAA Regional championship, triumphing at the 2025 East Regional tournament held in Allendale, Michigan. The Lakers maintained a consistent lead throughout the event, ultimately achieving an 11-stroke victory.

In the final round, the Lakers scored a 292 (+4), concluding the tournament at +16. Findlay finished second with a score of twenty-seven over par, while Ferris State took third place at +59. The University of Indianapolis (UIndy) and the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) also qualified for Nationals by finishing fourth (+62) and fifth (+65), respectively.

Charlotte Goersch was notable as the Regional runner-up, completing her second consecutive even-par round of 72. She finished just one stroke behind the leader at one over par after making three birdies in her final round. Olivia Stoll tied for third place with a score of +4, highlighted by an eagle and four birdies during her round of 71 (-1). Paula Badino ended in a tie for seventh place after carding a 78 (+7) with two birdies, bringing her total to seven over par for the tournament. Megan Miron shot a round of 75 (+3), including three birdies, ending in a tie for ninth at nine over par. Julia Sanchez followed closely behind in a tie for 11th place after scoring a 74 (+2) with four birdies.

With this victory, the Lakers advance to compete in the National Championships set to begin on Tuesday in Boulder City, Nevada.
