On May 22, Speaker Matt Hall shared a tweet without any accompanying text or commentary.
In another tweet posted on the same day, Speaker Hall utilized hashtags related to Michigan politics: "#MIPOL #MILEG".
The following day, on May 23, Speaker Hall addressed concerns about governmental transparency. He criticized Secretary Benson for her non-compliance with a legislative subpoena, stating that this action is "an affront to every Michigander who expects transparency and accountability from their government." He further emphasized his commitment as Speaker by saying, "As Speaker, I’ll ensure the House continues standing strong against this shameful and blatant obstruction."
Secretary Benson refers to Jocelyn Benson, who serves as Michigan's Secretary of State.
