The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its postseason awards, with Grand Valley State University's (GVSU) men's golf team receiving significant recognition. The team's head coach, Gareth Lappin, was honored as the GLIAC Men's Golf Coach of the Year. Under his leadership, the Lakers achieved three victories and secured six additional top-five finishes this season. Lappin's guidance also led to four golfers earning All-GLIAC honors.

Drew Coble, a senior at GVSU, was named the GLIAC Golfer of the Year for the second consecutive year. This season, Coble won the Doc Spragg Invitational and finished in the top ten five more times, with four of those being top-five finishes. He is ranked 13th nationally and has been included in the PING All-Region team. Coble recorded 20 rounds of par or better, achieving a low round score of 66. His achievement marks him as the third Laker to win multiple Golfer of the Year awards and represents the ninth time a player from GVSU has received this accolade.

In addition to Coble, Manuel Cue Vargas and Bryce Wheeler were named to the first team and recognized as PING All-Region performers earlier in the week. Cue secured two victories this year at both the Nemacolin Intercollegiate and Ralph Hargett Memorial events and had five additional top-ten finishes. He completed 16 rounds at par or better with his lowest score being 66 on three occasions. Wheeler had five top-ten finishes overall with one ending in a top-five position; he played 18 rounds at par or better with a low round score of 68.

Charlie Cooley earned a spot on the second team after shooting nine rounds at par or better and securing one top-five finish along with another in the top ten; his lowest recorded round was a score of 68.
