Grand Valley State University (GVSU) has achieved a remarkable feat by sweeping the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) postseason honors following the 2025 outdoor track and field season. Several athletes from GVSU have been recognized for their outstanding performances.
Myles Rhodes was named men's track athlete of the year after his strong showing at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Throughout the season, Rhodes demonstrated consistency and excellence, setting multiple personal records. He recorded a personal-best finish at the GVSU Early Meet in April with a time of 10.48 seconds, tying for the fourth-fastest in school history. At the NCAA Championships, he set a program record in the 400m with a time of 45.99 seconds, securing fifth place. Rhodes also excelled in relay events, contributing to record-breaking performances in both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
Klaudia O'Malley concluded her collegiate career by being named GLIAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year. She achieved a personal-best time of 4:18.43 in the 1500m at the Raleigh Relays, ranking first in Division II for the remainder of the season. O'Malley continued her success at various meets, earning podium finishes and ultimately being named National Champion for her performance in the 1500m at the national championships.
Jaivon Harrison was honored as GLIAC Men's Field Athlete of the Year after consistently performing well throughout seven meets this outdoor season. Harrison's notable achievements include clearing impressive heights such as 2.26m (7-5) just before national championships and winning his fourth individual national championship title during his collegiate career.
Erika Beistle was named GLIAC Outdoor Women's Field Athlete of the Year after an exceptional season where she broke several records. Beistle set a new NCAA Division II discus record with a throw of 66.63m (218-7.25). Her consistent high-level performances helped GVSU secure victory at various meets, culminating in their win at the national championships.
