Speaker Matt Hall issued a statement celebrating the passage of what he termed as the "Big Beautiful Bill," attributing its success to President Trump's leadership. Hall expressed that the bill's enactment represents another significant achievement for Michigan, aligning with promises made by Trump.

Hall emphasized several key outcomes of the plan, stating, "Under this plan, working families will get to keep more of their paychecks. Tipped and shift workers will no longer pay taxes on tips or overtime." He also mentioned enhancements in border security and efforts to remove criminal illegal aliens from communities. Furthermore, he highlighted improvements in military strength and taxpayer value due to cuts in wasteful programs and fraud.

In his statement, Hall reflected on collaborative efforts with President Trump throughout the year on various initiatives including bolstering Selfridge Air National Guard Base, protecting the Great Lakes from invasive species like Asian carp, and addressing issues such as closing the Department of Education and ending diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies.

Hall conveyed gratitude towards President Trump and the Michigan Republican congressional delegation for their roles in securing this legislative victory. He stated, "With today’s vote, he is keeping his commitment to our state by continuing to push for policies at the national level that will make Michigan an even better place to live."
