No one should blame national economic trends for the recent factory announcement failure, according to Michigan State Representative Matt Hall. He emphasized that President Trump's tariff plans are designed to penalize companies offshoring jobs and reward those bringing factories back to the United States. "Everyone knows that," Hall stated, highlighting tariffs as a reason for companies to invest in America.
Hall also pointed out the incentives in the One Big Beautiful Bill, which he believes will lead to significant semiconductor growth and high-tech job creation. He anticipates competition among companies for hiring American workers and building products domestically.
"President Trump’s bold leadership is making it easier and more attractive than ever to create jobs in America," Hall said. He urged state leaders to focus on making Michigan an ideal place for business development. House Republicans, he added, will continue efforts at the Capitol to reduce red tape, reverse a 2023 tax hike on small businesses by Democrats, and improve state government services.
