Grand Valley State men's golf wins Nemacolin Intercollegiate by wide margin

The Grand Valley State men's golf team secured a victory at the Nemacolin Intercollegiate in Farmington, Pennsylvania, concluding their fall season. All five team members finished in the top 10, marking Grand Valley's third win of the fall.

Grand Valley State ended the tournament at 11 under par, finishing 42 strokes ahead of second-place Findlay, which posted a score of 31 over par. Hillsdale took third place at 39 over, Tiffin was fourth at 45 over, and Anderson placed fifth with a score of 47 over.

Charlie Cooley achieved his first collegiate win by finishing eight under par and claiming the individual title. "He shot a final round of 67 (-5), making six birdies to earn the win." One stroke behind was teammate Manuel Cue Vargas, who finished second at seven under par. "Cue carded a final round of 70 (-2), sinking four birdies." Maverick Conaway secured fourth place with a final round score of 73 (+1), recording two birdies to end one over par. Bryce Wheeler tied for sixth at four over after making three birdies in his final round of 74 (+2). Andrew Gwilliams finished ninth at seven over par, carding a final round of 77 (+5) with two birdies and an eagle.

The Nemacolin Intercollegiate win marks another strong performance for Grand Valley State as they wrap up their fall campaign.
