Grand Valley State University has placed four athletes on the 2024 NCBWA All-Midwest Region team. Junior left fielder Ryan Dykstra earned first-team honors, while senior center fielder Kyle Nott, junior designated hitter Jonan Gulbrandsen, and sophomore pitcher Mike Morawski were named to the second team. The Lakers recently secured the 2024 GLIAC Tournament Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional for the first time since 2016.

Dykstra, a First-Team All-GLIAC performer, posted a .319 batting average with 68 hits, a team-leading 61 RBIs, 37 runs scored, 12 doubles, six home runs, and four triples. He recorded 18 multi-hit games and reached base safely in 23 consecutive games. His RBI total ranks fifth in a single season for Grand Valley State.

Nott also received First-Team All-GLIAC honors with a .335 batting average. He led the team with 44 runs scored and had a GVSU record of reaching base in 33 consecutive games at the start of the season. Nott concluded his career with notable achievements including hitting for the cycle against Northwood—an accomplishment not seen in over three decades.

Gulbrandsen led his team with a .338 batting average and topped several statistical categories including hits (74), doubles (14), and home runs (12). He contributed significantly with 46 RBIs and scored 42 runs throughout the season.

Morawski earned First-Team All-GLIAC recognition as well, finishing with a pitching record of 7-4 and an ERA of 3.31 over 73.1 innings pitched. He led his team in strikeouts with a total of 74.
