The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has released the schedule for the 2024 GLIAC Baseball Tournament. The event will take place at Jackson Field, home of the Lansing Lugnuts, from Thursday, May 9 to Sunday, May 12.
Grand Valley State University has secured the #2 seed in the tournament and is set to face Parkside, seeded #5, on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. This match marks the opening game of the championship.
Grand Valley State achieved this position with a record of 26-23 overall and an 18-12 conference play record. Their ascent to the #2 seed was confirmed following a decisive four-game sweep against Davenport during the final weekend of regular season play. During regular-season encounters with Parkside, Grand Valley State won four out of six games.
The first day of tournament play includes:
- At 11 a.m., #2 Grand Valley State vs. #5 Parkside
- At 3 p.m., #1 Saginaw Valley State vs. #6 Purdue Northwest
- At 7 p.m., #3 Wayne State vs. #4 Davenport
