Grand Valley State University's junior outfielder, Ryan Dykstra, has been recognized as the GLIAC Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the league office following an impressive performance that contributed to the Lakers' sweep in a weekend series against Davenport.

Dykstra delivered a remarkable batting average of .565 (13-23) and achieved a 1.557 OPS during the series. His performance included four extra-base hits and a crucial game-winning RBI in the bottom of the 10th inning, leading GVSU to a 5-4 victory in game three. He recorded three or more hits in three games, including his second five-hit game of the season. Over the course of the series, he drove in 13 runs, scored nine times, and walked twice.

This successful series propelled Grand Valley State University into the #2 seed for the upcoming GLIAC Tournament. The tournament is set to begin on Thursday with GVSU facing Parkside at 11 a.m.
