Grand Valley State University faced a setback in their midweek non-league baseball game against Hillsdale College, losing 16-12. The match took place at GVSU's home ground. Following this game, the Lakers are set to compete in a four-game series against Wayne State from Friday to Sunday as part of the GLIAC.

In the recent game, senior right fielder Nathan Logan contributed significantly with two hits out of five attempts, driving in three runs and scoring once himself. Designated hitter Jonas Gulbrandsen also made an impact with three hits out of six attempts and scored twice. Freshman shortstop Zach Warren and sophomore second baseman Ayden VanEnkevort each managed one hit out of four attempts, including solo home runs, adding two RBIs and scoring twice. Left fielder Ryan Dykstra had one hit with two RBIs, while center fielder Kyle Nott scored once with one hit out of two attempts. Justin Mansager added to the scoreline with one hit and two runs scored in his single attempt at bat. Catcher MacArthur Graybill achieved one hit out of three attempts, contributing an RBI and scoring once.
