State Rep. Bradley Slagh | Michigan House Republicans
State Representative Bradley Slagh of Zeeland has announced he will host office hours for local residents on February 27, 2025. The sessions will take place in three locations: City on the Hill Café in Zeeland from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., Arrows Restaurant in Hudsonville from 9 to 10 a.m., and Big Apple Bagel in Jenison from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Rep. Slagh aims to engage with constituents by addressing their questions and concerns. He also plans to provide updates on legislative activities, particularly regarding House Bills 4001 and 4002. These bills focus on the needs of local job providers and employees concerning Michigan's tipped wage laws and sick leave policies. "I’m passionate about finding a solution for our local restaurant workers and the small business owners who employ them," Slagh stated.
In addition, Rep. Slagh is reintroducing measures that were previously stalled under the former Democrat majority in the Legislature. These include a bill aimed at protecting private property owners against unauthorized trespassing and another requiring cash acceptance at toll roads and bridges in Michigan. "These bills aren’t partisan in nature," Slagh commented, expressing hope for better progress now that Republicans control the House.
No appointments are necessary for attending these office hours. Those unable to attend can contact Rep. Slagh’s office via phone or email.
