The Grand Valley State University baseball team is set to face off against Davenport University in a GLIAC series with a revised schedule. Concerns over rain and cooler temperatures have led to an adjustment in the originally planned matchups between these top 20 teams. The series will now feature two games on Friday, March 28, followed by one game each on Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2. Games will be played at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex in Caledonia, Michigan.
Friday's doubleheader will kick off at 3 p.m., with the second game starting shortly after the first concludes. The Saturday game will begin at 1 p.m., while the Sunday's finale is scheduled for noon.
Currently, Grand Valley State holds a record of 19-5 in overall play and 3-1 in GLIAC play. Davenport similarly boasts a strong standing, with an 18-5 overall record and an undefeated 4-0 in GLIAC matchups.
Both teams are leaders in most GLIAC pitching and hitting statistics. Grand Valley State presents a team batting average of .318 and a team ERA of 3.69.
