Effective Monday, June 23rd, several road closures will be implemented in the area for utility installation and road maintenance.

4th Street, between Central and River Avenues, will be closed to all through traffic. A third-party contractor is set to make a road cut to install underground utilities. The work on this section is anticipated to conclude by June 27th at 5 pm.

Similarly, South Shore Drive, between Thomas and Diekema Avenues, will also be closed for the same purpose of installing underground utilities by a third-party contractor. This project is expected to finish by June 27th at 5 pm.

These closures are likely to cause travel disruptions. Motorists must adhere to posted detour routes available for both northbound and southbound traffic. Emergency vehicles and local traffic access will be maintained through coordination with contractors.

Additionally, on June 23rd, 2025, 17th Street between River and Pine Avenues will undergo milling and paving conducted by the City of Holland. This section is scheduled for completion by June 24th, 2025, at 4 pm.
