Reserve Officer Alyson Reifsnyder has been named Reserve Officer of the Year by the Holland Department of Public Safety. The announcement was made by Chief Matt Messer during the department's annual reserve officer award ceremony.

Reifsnyder was selected for the honor following nominations from her fellow reserve officers. According to her peers, she “takes every opportunity to help fellow reserves by mentoring and sharing what she has learned,” and she is “always super professional on the job, and she represents Holland well!” Additional comments from the nomination noted that she “always has a smiling face, exhibits a positive attitude, is easy going and a pleasure to work with.”

As Reserve Officer of the Year, Reifsnyder will represent the Holland Police Reserve Unit at various functions throughout the year.
