The men's and women's wrestling teams at Grand Valley State University are organizing a holiday toy drive to benefit Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. The event is taking place in the Fieldhouse Arena from November 3 to November 25.

Donation boxes have been placed throughout the Fieldhouse for those who want to participate by giving new, unwrapped gifts. The teams encourage community members to contribute, noting that "All donations are greatly appreciated!"

The hospital has identified several high-need items for children, including Fisher-Price Doctor Play Kits, foam stress balls without liquid or filler, books with sound or texture, diverse Fisher-Price Little People sets, non-spiral journals and notebooks, plastic animals or figurines, Legos or Duplo blocks, Matchbox cars, paint by numbers kits, board games, adult coloring books, Pop-Its or fidgets, and Crayola markers or pencils.

There are also specific requests for teens such as metal thermal water bottles, satin-lined sleep caps, Carhartt oversized sweatshirts, portable Bluetooth speakers, branded sports attire, $15–$20 gift cards for retailers like Target and Amazon as well as food delivery services like DoorDash and Uber Eats or Subway restaurants. Blankets are also welcome.

For infants in the hospital's care, suggested donations include lightweight rattles and teethers, ring stack and shape-sorting games, soft stacking blocks, and muslin swaddles or blankets.

The toy drive aims to support patients at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital during the holiday season by providing them with comfort items suited to various age groups.
