Rep. Mary Whiteford (R-Casco Township) recently met with an overflow crowd of residents from her 80th District to discuss just-passed auto insurance reform measures.
The Michigan House Republicans website pegged the crowd at 6,594 for the veteran lawmaker’s latest live tele-town.
"The biggest priority for my constituents since I’ve been in office has been meaningful auto insurance reform and this tele-town hall was a great way to reach out and let them know we got the job done,” Whiteford said on the website. “I appreciate people taking the time to learn more about the reforms to take effect next year.”
As part of the event, Whiteford took time to engage in a question-and-answer session with residents, where she was joined by fellow GOP Rep. Jason Wentworth of Clare, who also serves as chair of the House Select Committee on Reducing Car Insurance Rates and was a key player in paving the way for the auto insurance reforms that were passed earlier this year.
