The Grand Valley State men's tennis team secured their fourth consecutive victory with a 6-1 win against Lewis on Friday at the Premier Athletic and Tennis Club. This result brings the Lakers' season record to 5-3.

In doubles, the Lakers claimed all matches to secure the doubles point. Sean Miller and Victor Lopes won 6-4 in the top doubles position. Jorge Ruiz and Chimo Minguez achieved a decisive 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles, while Stephen Claassen and Lawrence Ivanov completed a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles.

During singles play, Denys Zamaraiev delivered a commanding performance with a 6-1, 6-0 straight-set win at the top singles spot. Sean Miller followed with a 6-2, 7-6 straight-set victory at No.2 singles. Chimo Minguez earned a 7-5, 6-2 straight-set win at No.4 singles. Ignasi Garros overcame an initial setback to claim a three-set win of 0-6, 6-2, 6-3 at No.5 singles, while Freddy Cossio added another point with his straightforward 6-0, 6-2 triumph at No.6 singles. Victor Lopes faced defeat in a close match ending in scores of 3-6, 4-6 at No.3 singles.

The Lakers are set to conclude this week's homestand by hosting Northwood on Saturday with the first serve scheduled for 5:00 PM at Premier Athletic and Tennis Club.
