Senior Kacy Lauer has been recognized as the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office. This marks the first time Lauer has received this honor in her collegiate career.

Over the past weekend, Lauer contributed two goals during Grand Valley State Lakers Women's Soccer victories against Davenport and Purdue Northwest. In the match against Davenport, she scored the decisive goal in the 65th minute, leading to a 1-0 win. Against Purdue Northwest, she opened scoring in just the third minute, helping secure a 2-1 victory.

Lauer played every minute in both matches and her efforts were key to helping Grand Valley State clinch the GLIAC regular season championship. With these performances, she has set a personal best with six goals for the season—ranking second on her team—and extended her goal streak to three consecutive games and point streak to four games.
