The Grand Valley State University women's soccer team, ranked sixth nationally, will conclude its regular season at home with matches against Roosevelt and Saginaw Valley State. The Lakers are set to host Roosevelt on Thursday, November 6 at 5:00 pm and Saginaw Valley State on Saturday, November 8 at 1:00 pm.

Grand Valley State enters the final week of the regular season riding a five-game winning streak. Last week, the team secured victories over Davenport (1-0) and Purdue Northwest (2-1). With the win over Purdue Northwest, GVSU clinched its 18th Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) regular season championship in program history and its first since 2022.

Senior Kacy Lauer was recognized as the GLIAC offensive player of the week after scoring the game-winning goal against Davenport and opening the scoring versus Purdue Northwest. "It marks the second week in a row a Laker has earned offensive player of the week honors," according to GVSU.

Sophomore Sarah Fromm leads Grand Valley State with seven goals and 16 points, ranking her second in the conference. Lauer has achieved a career high with six goals and 14 points this season. She has scored in three consecutive games and recorded at least one point in four straight matches. Junior Sonya Mehta and freshman Ivy Wilhelm have each contributed five goals and five assists for a total of 15 points this year. Wilhelm is tied for the team lead with three game-winning goals. Alli French has added five goals and three assists for 13 points; she assisted twice in last week's win over Purdue Northwest and shares the team lead for game-winning goals.

Freshman goalkeeper Macie Hunter leads all GLIAC goalkeepers with eight shutouts, four goals allowed, and a goals-against average of 0.33.

Roosevelt comes into Allendale with an overall record of 5-9-1 and a conference mark of 3-8-1. The team recently defeated Michigan Tech on the road to move into seventh place in GLIAC standings but has been outscored by opponents this season by a margin of 31 to 25. Carisma Rosales leads Roosevelt offensively with six goals, four assists, two game-winning goals, and a team-high 33 shots. Daisy Garcia has recorded five goals and four assists while Daisy Hernandez-Loya also tallied five goals alongside three assists this year. Roxy Herrera has started as goalkeeper for Roosevelt’s last seven games.

Saginaw Valley State holds an overall record of 10-4-2 with an 8-3-1 conference tally—good for a tie for second place in GLIAC standings. The Cardinals are coming off a win against Purdue Northwest but lost their following match to Ferris State. SVSU leads all teams in GLIAC play with 39 total goals scored this season; Madi Bajis tops both her squad and conference statistics with ten goals plus two game-winners. Lauryn Fracassi follows closely behind while Abby Ellis adds further support offensively; Lainey Garbarz is SVSU's primary goalkeeper.

Both upcoming games will be streamed live via FloCollege, with additional links for live video coverage, stats, or ticket purchases available through gvsulakers.com. Fans can also follow @GVSUSoccer on X for real-time updates during each match.
