The campaign committee of Republican Party candidate William P. Huizenga, Huizenga for Congress, refunded $2,000 to Yvonne Essex on August 12, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

According to the FEC data, the following reason was listed for the refunded expenditure: 'Contribution refund to an individual, partnership or limited liability company'.

Huizenga for Congress refunded $31,400 total since March 1.
