The Grand Valley State University swim and dive teams are preparing to host Northern Michigan University in a head-to-head meet on Saturday, October 25. The event will take place at 1 p.m. at the GVSU Pool.

Both the men's and women's teams are coming off recent victories against Calvin University and Saginaw Valley State. Last year, Grand Valley State defeated Northern Michigan, with the men's team winning 202–94 and the women's team securing a 172.5–127.5 victory.

Entering their first home meet of the season, both Laker squads hold undefeated 4–0 records. Over the past weekend, several athletes from both teams achieved NCAA qualifying standards in swimming and diving events.

Diving coach Steve Burciaga commented on his team's preparation: "The divers are excited to show the hard work they have been doing over the last month, and I'm excited to see where we are at with our training when it comes to meet days." He added, "This will be a good test for our divers, with NMU having some really good divers."

The meet will be available via live stream. Fans can follow updates on Instagram @gvsuswimdive and X (formerly Twitter) @gvsuswim, as well as through Meet Mobile.
